Rainbow fish are generally easy to take care of if they have plenty of room to swim and adequate feeding. Take care of rainbow fish with tips from the owner of a fish pet store in this free video on pet care.
My name is Ryan Wells. I'm the owner of a local fish store located in Lindon, Utah called Reef Runners. Many fish have different names. A lot of your fish, especially in salt water, will be known through different regions through different names. A rainbow fish, also known as a rass, is easy to take care of. Predominately they are predators and carnivorous. In other words, what they usually eat is small fish and other types of meaty foods such as scallops, clams, shrimps and other mussels. The main care for these fish is provide them with adequate room to swim and to grow. Make sure that you don't overcrowd with other conflicting species. Also make sure that they have plenty of food. I recommend that you feed these fish typically once a day or once every other day. Keep in mind that you don't overfeed the fish, so you keep the pollutants of your tank down. These fish are generally hearty and very easy to take care of. Once again, they are carnivorous and predatory fish, so be careful with which fish you house these with. Once again, they usually prey on small fish. So don't add any small fish into the same system as these rainbow or rass fish.

Next I had Bryce do some color sorting with rainbow fish crackers using a cupcake tin. Reece helped by supplying more fish for Bryce to sort. After sorting, depending on the age of the children, you can have them count the number of fish.
